A warning to fellow buyers who deal with Chinese Based Lingerie Companies
On March 24 2011 I purchased a total of 16 items from a website sexylover.cc I received an email after paying through Paypal that my items would ship within 48 hours, on March 28 2011 I received an email from this company stating my items were preparing for shipment and that I would receive a tracking number later that evening, on March 30th I received yet another email stating that while my items were being prepared for shipment they noticed 4 items were out of stock and asked if I would like to replace them with any other items on the website, I went back to the site looked through everything and found 1 thing and then asked for a refund for the difference in items and shipping, they stated they would send the items out that day and would issue a refund shortly after, on April 1st I received yet another email from them asking if I wanted the items shipped to my Paypal address, now mind you this company already ignored my shipping request of UPS and stated they would send the items DHL, I asked nicely for them to send them UPS I requested that company and was quoted shipping on that company, well they didn't finally I received the last email on April 4th with a DHL tracking number, on April 7 these items arrived, out of the 16 ordered not removing the 4 out of stock items and the 13 I was suppose to receive, I received 10, and out of the 10 I received only 1 was what I actually requested, all the rest of the items were complete opposites, I received gowns instead of mini dresses they were not the same color, fabric, or even style, I received costumes instead of skirt and short sets I ordered, and the costumes were trash, infact items started falling off 1 of them just by removing it from the bag, 1 item smells like mildew and I have tried to steam it out with no luck, another 2 items came with stains, and 1 item was so poorly sewn that it is lopsided, it was a ridiculous situation, Paypal wants me to pay $100 to ship these items back that I will get a $173 refund on, I don't even know why I would have to pay to ship items back that were so grossly misdescribed and so blatantly different then what I ordered, if I had received the items I ordered I wouldn't have this problem, this companies gross negligence is just the cherry on top of the cake, I know check every company's address/information I order with to see if they could even have the ability of being apart of this company and I have found 2 other companies that are directly associated with if not owned by the same people just under alternative names

So, I want to make sure about it.
I did visit their website, but no reviews or anything that make me trust it.
I am sorry it took so long for a response I have never heard of them, but I have heard of Alibaba which is the same platform as DHgate both are a marketplace for different sellers with a rating system, its almost the China version of eBay, I only purchase from one china company www.lingerie-supplies.com also known as Wella Lingerie, they use to be Rose's Secret but were purchased by a new owner.
DeleteThey have a minimum dollar amount like most of them, they only require the purchase of $100 and most items you have to purchase a minimum of 2, but they have always been super consistent they calculate shipping during checkout which most suppliers require you to submit an order amount and then they send you an invoice with the items you chose and if they are in stock with a total for shipping which is usually astronomical and I mean sometimes the rate is more then half the amount of the items purchased, with a lot of the companies on DHgate or Alibaba or Aliexpress (same company) but you purchase the items directly from the website as opposed to Alibaba which requires you to contact the seller for the minimum amount and cost, the free shipping they offer is Chinapost air what the neglect to inform you is it can take more then a month to get. ReplyDeleteI am so very sorry to not get back to everyone who posted to this blog, first off let me start by saying thank you for visiting my blog, as far as Wella Lingerie Turnkey Solution which is China Based, I use to purchase from Wella Lingerie when they were Rose's Secret, they have since changed ownership, and have not ordered from them since, I know Rose's Secret was always very trustworthy and efficent with shipping which was very important to me, I personally don't like drop shipping to customers I would rather check out the quality of product prior to sending it to a customer, another company that I have recently came across that not only has lingerie but clothing and shoes is Wholesale-dress.net they also have warehouses in US, Russia, UK as well as Japan and China I can give you a list of US based Wholesale Lingerie companies that have easy free sign up and I have dealt with in the past, I will be posting the list after I compile it within the next week

ReplyDeleteWe ordered lingerie items at dear-lover.com Fabric was excellent and designs were easy to sell. The only issue with them is size. They do not deal in plus size lingerie. I asked them, if they are able to provide same designs in plus size. They said no. Through google i found out sexybvds. Going to place order today. Let's see what happens.

ReplyDeleteOk here is the updated skinny on some of these companies who to deal with and who to avoid, as far as dear-lover I will post a link to their direct site so there is no foul up, I ordered from a site that had the same web address but different format which is my own fault for not being more diligent, I also found some really great chinese companies to deal with that are cheap, some offer free shipping if you don't mind waiting (up to 30 days) on certain items. DO NOT GIVE BUSINESS TO WHOLESALE-DRESS.NET or LINGERIE MART (us based) I had both of these companies take money from me and never received the products or a refund.

The format for many of these sites are the same so it's really hard to tell right?
ReplyDeleteAnyways, it's good someone like you is helping out to filter the good and bad. I recently purchased some stock from Wella Lingerie as on their site is says they have some stock in the US. This made me immediately suspicious as you've mentioned they are a Chinese company and I know after talking to someone through chat that this is true.
To my surprise though, I got my stock within 3 days through the normal mail, and tracking revealed it originated from Florida. I spoke again to one of the reps and depending on the item, they do have limited stock in the states to ship because of the demand by their dropship customers.
It's good to know that I can rely on something like this so just wanted to contribute that information. I understand you don't approve of just dropshipping but at least I can saw the follow through for this company is pretty good. Shipping of course was reasonable and fast, so that's the main difference usually right?

DeleteBelieve it or not there are a lot of companies from China that have set up a warehouse in the US, DHgate has several sellers with US stock, This would not make me suspicious unless it was attached to a company I know was shady in the past, I am not sure if you bought my guide or not, if you did Thank you, I plan on updating it again as new information becomes available. I didn't like the feeling of this as there was no confirmation that my payment had gone through or not. The following day I got busy and was going to followup with an email to confirm if my order was paid or not but before that I got several calls from my bank calling about a suspicious transaction on my card through western union of $2600. They had stopped that transaction because the card did not have that kind of a balance left , Thank God! It seems like their website has been hacked and my card details was intercepted that is why I got the error and someone was now trying to use my card to send money via western union. So be very very careful when dealing with them especially when making the payment. Rather opt to pay using other methods than giving your card details on that card. I was have been milked dry had I had sufficient funds on that card.

ReplyDelete@Margaret, I believe you are right they quite possibly got hacked, I am not an administrator for this company I have an online business that is US it is a retail company called Dazzling Your Style, this is a company I have ordered from, when you place an order on dear lover they typically send you an invoice and you pay through paypal, they actually go make sure everything you ordered is in stock and send you a shipping quotes via email along with their paypal address, I am sorry this happened to you, I have never had a problem with this company, and as far as US Based Childrens clothing there are a couple of different places including WMS Clothing and Wholesale. ReplyDeleteDamien, There is never any way to tell until you get the product, most of the clubwear from china is one size fits most, the problem with that is they are never consistent, some items are very large and others are very small, the only thing to really do is place an order and inspect it carefully and if you have a woman around ask her to judge what size she would deem it to most likely fit, we are pretty good judges of that.

DeleteIv ordered from wholesale-dress.net and surprisingly found the quality ok for the price, although i was annoyed a few items i ordered were OOS and i was giving credit to the store rather than refund and was still charged the same shipping despite 5 items not being included. Iv been ordering lingerie for ages now, and have tried all the sites, they are all hit and miss to be honest, depends on what your ordering, some items received from dear lover (yes the original) have been beyond "reselling" condition....as a matter of fact i would be embarrassed to offer this to a customer. Dont damage and permanently tarnish your business by drop shipping, you could order 4 pieces of the same item, 2 will be fine, 2 however will be sewed closed, or lopsided, and if your willing to risk your business and send a customer an item which has been sewn shut (yes an item iv order had the skirt sewn together) then you wont be in business for long. Most of the lingerie are made at the same factories and distributed among the websites - they all claim to have their own factory and be manufacturers but they themselves are drop shippers and are simply distributors. iv had to fork out $5000 worth of clothing to start my business which im still working on, but i can honestly say iv spent over $2000 on a variety of Chinese wholesale sites, $900 worth of the products ordered are beyond repair and i would be ashamed to sell, the rest i will be selling at cost price - possibly even under cost price once you include the shipping fees, but being an online retailer its the risk you take, one order from a business will not predict the quality or service for the next person. Im in Australia and purchased my wholesale clothing from USA, although now the AUD has crashed iv been looking for alternatives but having two boxes of single lined, dull coloured, irregular untied hemlines, and some items which look as though they were made using a chain saw, im still hesitant about these lingerie sites, so dont take one reviewer, even my comment as a recommendation for one business, as one persons experience cannot dictate your own. Having said that, iv im going to give wella (lingerie-supplies.com) next aswell as malltop1, iv only read good things about these two and its two i haven't tried yet.

Both are same company, dropship-dearlover does not have minimum order quantity. Dearlover.com has a minimum order requriemnt (100 USD). If you are a re seller you can buy from dear-lover.com as the price will be a bit cheaper compared to drop-ship.

Hi . I have came across the same problem. However I have placed an order with them . It's been 3 days now going 4 no tracking no. Or anything. Yet I keep getting orders from my small store mercari . I can't move forward . I can't get them on the phone , no number . Email that they reply when they feel like it . I'm losing customers . I've resolved into just closing up my shop and do my thorough research . I have never been this disappointed. I have set up my store and everything thinking it was a good company and their shipping rate isn't terrible . Just too much delays . If you find any Lingerie reliable companies please let me know. It's such a huge disappointment. Their store looks awesome. Only if they could deliver.
DeleteAfter doing some homework I recently purchased 15 items from Light in The Box, a Chinese manufacturer.

I ordered 3 corsets which were OK in size. The genuine leather turned out to be PU leather though. The quality was OK.
I ordered 12 chemises in size 3 + 4XL for myself, to bring sexy back. All 12 I received were tiny, nearly half the size I ordered. Each had a tiny sticker on the packaging stated they were 3 + 4XL. Six items were also not the style advertised in the picture and they all were poor quality.
After 29 photos I had to send showing measurements and 25 e-mails they agreed to refund the purchase price NZ$110 and said they would pay the postage back to China NZ$70 but only on receipt of the invoice and goods. They refused to reimburse the postage from China for 12 out of 15 items I did not order.
I didn't believe they would reimburse me for postage to China so wrote it off NZ$110 as a learning experience giving the tiny chemises to the salvation army.

AN ADDRESS IN THE STATES (CALIFORNIA) TO MAKE YOU BELIEVE YOU ARE DEALING WITH A USA COMPANY. AVOID AT ALL COST. I AM STILL WAITING FOR MY REFUND AND THEY HAVE ALL THE ITEMS.
